Voice over IP or VoIP is a telephones service whereby one can make telephone calls over voice digitization and transmission of data over network, using a specific protocol (Internet Protocol – IP). In some cases the “voice packets” are routed through the Internet.

With this technology, call costs are significantly lower. Today, several companies offer phone service VoIP.

Ability to make calls

The company providing the service must inform its customers about the possibility of calling emergency services, subscribers of other networks and catalog services. Noted that the provision of these facilities is at the discretion of the company.

Telephones

Depending on the company,  the customer can use the traditional telephone handsets or must obtain the specific “VoIP devices.” He should ask the company to inform him.

Power Failure

The provision of VoIP service depends on the broadband connection and the possibility to connect to the Internet. Consequently, in case of power failure, it is possible that the service is crashed. One possible way to tackle this problem is to provide alternative power supply with batteries, UPS etc.

How can there be a wireless broadband access through the computer?

One way for the client to have wireless broadband access to the computer is to turn to mobile phones and make use of the products available through their networks 3G and GPRS, applying on their computer a small device (USB stick or data card).

There is the possibility of concluding a contract with fixed monthly payment, or purchase prepaid use to access the internet.

The contract to be concluded may be based on volume charges or time charges.

In the first case he is charged with a fixed monthly fee and can download for free until a certain number of Mbytes, and specific charge per Mbyte to download above the number. In the second case he is charged for a fixed monthly fee and has the ability to surf the Internet up to a certain number of hours and specific costs for each hour over that number.
